Together, they were 9-2 in their flights and an impressive 8-0 in league matches. Individually, they were both 11-6 on the year, match Bravo for the best individual record this season.
Eight of the 13 Sun Conference teams had a pair honored Wednesday. Loyola led the conference with four pairs across both the First and Second Teams. Mobile had the next most with three pairs, all on the first team. Ave Maria was one of the three schools to have two pairs being honored as they were joined by Webber and William Carey. New College, St. Thomas and Warner rounded out the selections, each with one pair.
The announcement comes right before the 2025 Sun Conference Beach Volleyball Tournament kicks off Friday, April 11, in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The top eight teams qualified for the tournament and will play in a double elimination bracket. The Gyrenes secured the seventh seed in the final weekend of the regular season and will take on the second seeded Webber Warriors. The winner will take on the winner of Loyola vs New College while the losers from both of those matches will play each other in an elimination game.
