AVE MARIA, Fla. - The Ave Maria Baseball team wrapped up their series with the No. 22 Keiser Seahawks Saturday afternoon, falling in a tough 20-5 loss.
Keiser utilized the momentum created in the wins over the Gyrenes on Friday as they jumped to a quick 5-0 lead to start Saturday's game. The Seahawks added two more runs in the second, extending their lead.
In the bottom of the second, the Gyrenes added a couple runs on the board. Both came off the bat of Caleb Metzen as he singled to centerfield, bringing in Joe Manesiotis and Omari Swinton.

Ave Maria ended the game on a high note in the bottom of the seventh with two runs crossing home plate. The Gyrenes traded an out for a run again as Swinton grounded out to short, which gave Sam Boldt enough time to score. Jack McDonough brought home the final run with an RBI single that scored Karson Green.
The Gyrenes had three player with multiple hits as Green, Manesiotis, and Metzen all record two.
With the loss, the Ave Maria falls to 9-10 and 6-6 in the conference.
