Ave Maria

Outlook: Clayton is entering his junior season at Ave Maria University after starting the previous two years at quarterback. He holds nearly all of the Gyrene passing records so far in his young career.
Sophomore Year (2014): Clayton started all 11 of the Gyrene games in his sophomore season and threw for 2494 along with 20 touchdowns. He finished his sophomore campaign ranked in the top 25 nationally for Pass Yards per Game, Total Passing, Total Offense per Game, Total Offense, and ranks 34^th in Passing Efficiency. He also led The Sun Conference in Total Offense, Total Offense per Game, Passing, Passing per Game, Passing Touchdowns, Passing Yards, and was 2^nd in Passing Efficiency. Clayton was also named The Sun Conference player of the week after his game against the Apprentice School in which he threw for 392 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Freshman Year (2013): Clayton won the job his first fall on campus and never looked back leading to an outstanding first year in which he was named the Ave Maria University New Comer of the Year. In 10 games he threw for 2442 yards and 24 touchdowns. At the end of his freshman year he was ranked 9^th nationally in Passing Yards per Game, 14^th in Total Offense per Game, 16^th in Total Passing, 21^st in Passing Efficiency, and 27^th in Total Offense.
