WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Ave Maria men's and women's tennis teams were both swept, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon at Northwood University. Northwood is ranked eighth on the women's side and 15th on the men's side in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Polls.
 
At one-doubles on the women's side, Marianna Vargas and Mary Kate Lee fell 8-2, snapping a four match win streak for the doubles duo.
 
Both the Ave Maria men's and women's tennis teams currently sit at 0-7 on the season with all matches coming against Sun Conference opponents. Both squads have completed conference play and will finish the season with eight straight non-conference contests.
 
The tennis teams will welcome Lewis University (Tuesday) and Cornerstone University (Thursday) to the AMU Tennis Facility this week before heading to Orlando on Saturday to take on Aquinas College (Mich.).
