Box Score JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- The Ave Maria women's soccer team defeated Trinity Baptist College 2-0 on Tuesday afternoon. Alexia Mazzaccone and Anna Koerner each netted goals in the win for AMU.
 
Mazzaccone got things started with a goal off a pass by Sarah McBride to make it 1-0 in favor of the Blue and Green. Later in the game, Anna Koerner successfully converted a penalty kick to double the score.
 
AMU out shot Trinity Baptist 16-2. Anna Organvidez had five shots for the Lady Gyrenes, four of which were on frame. Mazzaccone also had five shots with two on goal. Katie Trudeau and Anne Bateman each had three shots.
 
Francesca Singleton got the win for the Blue and Green. She made two saves and didn't allow a goal in the shutout win.
 
The Lady Gyrenes return to the pitch on Saturday when they travel to Temple Terrace to take on Florida College in a 4 p.m. tilt.
