ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. --- The Ave Maria men's and women's tennis teams took on Eckerd on Saturday afternoon. The men's team fell 7-2 while the women's team dropped at 8-1 decision to the NCAA DII opponent.
 
David Zuleta was part of both points of the men's team in their match. Zuleta and Brian Schmidt won at one-doubles 9-8 (11-9). At one-singles, Zuleta won in straight sets 7-5, 6-2.
 
On the women's side, Marianna Vargas won at one-singles 6-4, 6-2.
 
Today's match concluded the regular season for both the men's and women's teams. The two teams will host ASA College in an exhibition match on March 25. Prior to that match, AMU will honor its seniors for both teams.
