AVE MARIA, Fla. — The Ave Maria Rugby team dropped their final home game of the 2025 season Saturday, falling to the Millenia Atlantic Macaws 73-17. It was the second match in a row between the Gyrenes and the Macaws and splits the season series between the two squads at one game apiece.

After a hard fought first half, in which AMU was up 12 –10, Millennia took the lead for a final score of 17-73. The Gyrenes showed great fortitude throughout the match, fighting hard to the end, with captain, Danny Harrington, scoring a try in the last seconds of the game earning the Man-of-the-Match award for the team.
