AVE MARIA, Fla. --- Under first-year head coach Curtis Allen, the Ave Maria men's and women's tennis teams will open the season this weekend with matches at Savannah College of Art and Design (Ga.) on Saturday and at Embry-Riddle (Fla.) on Sunday. These are the first of seven conference matches for each team and the first of 16 total matches for each squad this season.
 
AMU will play its seven conference matches in the first eight games of the 16 game season. The Gyrenes have their home opener on February 7 when they welcome Warner University to the AMU Tennis Facility. After a pair of road matches at St. Thomas and Southeastern. On February 21, the Blue and Green host Webber International in a TSC match.
 
The women's side has a home match against Florida State College on February 26 before both the women's and men's squad conclude TSC play with a match at Northwood on February 28.
 
Both teams will conclude the season with non-conference matchups against Lewis University, Cornerstone University and Midland University at Ave Maria and contests against Aquinas College, Young Harris College, Colby College, Hamline University, and the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) at neutral sites.
 
The men's side will also take on Franciscan University on Feb. 12, at the AMU Tennis Facility.
