AVE MARIA, Fla. --- Trailing 2-1 after doubles play, the Ave Maria men's tennis team won five of the six singles points to come away with a 6-3 win on Thursday afternoon. The win is the second in a row for the Gyrenes.
Rodrigo Torres and Andres Martin won the lone doubles point for the Blue and Green, winning at three-doubles 8-0.
In singles the Gyrenes won at singles one through five. Elias Zaghra won 7-6 (8-6), 6-0. Torres also won at two-singles surrendering only three games, 6-1, 6-2. At three-singles, Teddy Pince won his match 6-3, 1-6, 6-4. Dan Pardo and Zach Sadusky both won their matches 6-1, 6-0 at four- and five-singles, respectively.
The Blue and Green return to action on March 27-28 when they travel to Orlando to take on Colby College and Hamline University.
