Two Gyrenes Named NAIA Dance All-Americans

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Gyrenes had two dancers named All-Americans Thursday morning after the NAIA announced their three All-America Teams for 2025. It is the second year in a row Ave Maria dancers have been honored by the NAIA.

Freshman Veronika Kubisova earned Second Team honors and was the highest Gyrene selected. She becomes the second freshman in Ave Maria Dance history to be named an All-American.

Junior Ella Pierce was the other Gyrene selected, earning Third Team honors. Pierce has been in the program since her freshman season in 2022-23 and this is the first time she has been named an All-American.

The NAIA had a panel of national judges to pick their All-America Teams. The top 14 scores were selected to the First Team, with the next 14 being named to the Second Team followed by the final 14 going to the Third Team.

St. Ambrose had the moat First Team All Americans with seven and the most All Americans overall with nine. Viterbo had the next most with eight. The 2025 national champions had the third most with six. With two dancers, Ave Maria was tied with two other schools for seventh-most and was ahead of seven other schools who only had one dancer selected.
