Lady Gyrenes Finish 8th At Georgetown Invite

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. --- The Ave Maria women's golf team finished in eighth place at the Georgetown College Women's Invitational on Tuesday. The two-day, 36-hole tournament was played at the Slammer & Squire Course at World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla.
 
Bianca Vicioso led AMU with a four-over-par 76. The 76 ties the school record which was set yesterday by Jessica Licari. Vicioso finished at 160 for the two days and in 17th place. Taylor Robinson carded a second round 90 followed by Licari at 92 and Sarah Notaro at 95. Valerie Bertuccelli and Lydia White rounded out the scoring for AMU.
 
The Lady Gyrenes fell two spots from their round one position with their round two score of 353.
 
Keiser was the team champion with a two-day total of 589 (291-298). Dalton State finished third followed by SCAD-Atlanta.
 
AMU returns to action on March 19-21 when they head to Gainesville, Ga., to compete in the Brenau Invitational.
