GAINESVILLE, Ga. --- The Ave Maria women's golf team took on the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Ga., on Monday for day one of the Brenau Golden Tigers Spring Invitational. The Lady Gyrenes are ninth after the first 18 holes.

Brenau leads the tournament with a 326 followed by Southeastern at 337 and Freed-Hardeman at 347. AMU shot a team score of 387.

Jessica Licari led AMU with an opening round 88. She is tied for 19th individually out of 51 golfers. Bianca Vicioso and Sarah Notaro each fired rounds of 95 on day one. Lydia White (individual), Valerie Bertuccelli, and Taylor Robinson rounded out the scoring for Ave Maria.

Freed-Hardeman's Brittany Myers is the low individual with a 75 in round one.

The final 18 holes will be played Tuesday morning. The final round will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
