JUPITER, Fla. — The Ave Maria Women's Golf Team competed in the Jupiter Collegiate Invite Monday and Tuesday, finishing in fourth place of five teams. The Gyrenes remained in fourth place through all three rounds but beat the fifth place team by 16 strokes.

In the morning round on Monday, all four scoring Gyrenes finished above par. Lauren Stewart was first on the team at 2-over-par. She was followed by Gianna Reginelli at 3-over-par, Maya Berglund at 9-over-par and Gianna Moresi at 15-over-par. Stewart and Reginelli each carded two birdies while Berglund and Moresi each logged one. As a team, the Gyrenes shot a collective +29.

The second round was the toughest for the Gyrenes, shooting +33. Again, all four Gyrenes finished above par. Reginelli led the group in the afternoon at +3. She was followed by Berglund at +8, Stewart at +9 and Moresi at +13. Berglund and Stewart each carded two birdies in their round while Reginelli and Moresi each logged one.

Reginelli led the Gyrenes with the best individual round of the team in the final round on Tuesday, shooting 1-under-par. Reginelli carded six birdies in the round to just three bogeys and one double bogey. Berglund was second on the team at 6-over-par, followed by Stewart at +7 and Moresi at +14. Berglund and Stewart each logged two birdies and Moresi carded one. As a team, Ave Maria shot a collective +26, their best of the three rounds.

Reginelli was the top finisher individually after three rounds, tying for ninth place with a score of 5-over-par. Stewart was next for the Gyrenes, finishing in 17th place with a score of +18. Berglund was next on the leaderboard, taking 20th place at 23-over-par and was followed by Moresi in 23rd place at 42-over-par. Ava Bartosiak, who missed the cutoff for the Gyrenes in all three rounds, took 25th place with a score of +50.

The Gyrenes finished the two-day tournament with a score of 88-over-par. They finished 16 strokes ahead of Coastal Georgia, who took last place with a score of 104-over-par. East Florida State won the tournament, posting a total score of +9. Keiser took second place at 11-over-par, followed by Palm Beach State in third place at 28-over-par.

Ave Maria is back on the links one more time in the fall season before taking their winter break. The Gyrenes will head up to Lakeland to compete in the Southeastern Invite at the Grasslands Golf and Country Club. The tournament will take place between October 26-27.
